Productions, a leading provider of innovative lighting solutions, was tasked with designing, supplying, and installing a state-of-the-art lighting system for the newly constructed Lee Valley Ice Centre. The project aimed to not only illuminate the rink but also to enhance its aesthetic appeal and functionality. The client’s vision included bespoke-coloured lighting fixtures and trusses to seamlessly integrate with the rink’s steelwork.

The client’s demand for bespoke-coloured lighting fixtures and trusses presented a challenge in terms of sourcing and integrating these elements seamlessly at a time when product availability was particularly unstable.
Coordinating with the main contractor from the early stages was crucial to ensure smooth installation and proper alignment with the buildings infrastructure.

Thanks to J.R.G. Productions in house design capabilities, full video rendering of the proposed installation was provided, giving the client both a realistic representation of the finished installation and also showcasing the capability of the selected fixtures.

As with all projects of this nature, careful planning and coordination of the installation was essential to ensure all contractors could meet there obligations and achieve the opening date.
With both the lighting installation and ice building taking place over the same few weeks in the same working area, meticulous planning and sequencing ensured joint success.
